About The Department

The Department of "Mechanical Engineering" at Aryan Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET) was established in the year 2009 with the approval of AICTE and is affiliated to BijuPatnaik University and Technology (BPUT), Odisha. The department deals with theory, design, development and application of Mechanical Engineering and related technologies. Within a short span of time the department has carved a niche for itself and demonstrated its credentials in all-round development of its students be it academics, research projects, robotics, research paper presentation and publication in peer reviewed journals and conferences. The department boasts of a well-balanced industry experienced and well qualified faculties. The Department is well equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and one dedicated workshop, which provides exceptional platform for teaching, learning and developing skills of students. In research, Department has comprehended a wide range of areas, such as heat transfer, waste heat recovery, nano fluid, robotics, composite material under the guidance of eminent personalities from the related field. Some of our faculties are currently pursuing research in nano-fluid and formation of crude oil from waste plastic. Seminars, symposiums and conferences are conducted by the department on a regular basis to cope up with the emerging trends in recent developments in Mechanical Engineering. The department of Mechanical Engineering has active members in student and faculty chapters like; The Institute of Engineers (India), Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Solar Energy Society of India (SESI).


Vision

To establish as a cherished mechanical engineering program in the state of Odisha by imparting and focusing on practical and project based learning at affordable costs to generate skilled mechanical engineers with an ethical and sustainable development eco-system approach to serve the society in large.

  • 2. To become a leader in the field of Mechanical Engineering by acquiring and disseminating knowledge, using the best method of teaching
  • 3. To develop linkages with Industrial and Research organizations, Enterprises in India for Industry oriented projects to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems.
  • 4. To guide the students to self-motivated Entrepreneurship ambitions with confidence and responsibility.
  • 5. To inculcate professional and socio-economical ethics among mechanical students.

A warm greetings from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, AIET, Bhubaneswar. The Department of Mechanical Engineering started it's journey in the year 2009. The department offers B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) with an intake of 120 students. The department has highly experienced and dedicated faculty to impart quality education to the students. In addition to academics, the department strives for the holistic development of students by arranging various activities like workshops, seminars, conferences and industrial visits.

The department has state of the art infrastructure and research facilities to support academic programs and research. With a strong collaboration from prominent industries and reputed institutes, the department has excelled in both teaching and research. I am really elated to inform that the department stands on the strength of experienced and well qualified faculty members who are dedicated to teaching and also involved in up-gradation of knowledge and their research potential is evident through numerous publications and patents. We offer our students an excellent educational experience that combines intellectual rigor and cross-disciplinary breadth in an organized, student-centered environment. The course contents are periodically updated for introducing new scientific and technological developments. Our department maintains active research groups for carrying out collaborative and interdisciplinary research. Our students are encouraged to undertake various research projects. We are happy to share that many students are pursuing higher studies in leading universities in India and abroad. With great demand in industry and great placement opportunities, the department stands tall and proud.
